Specific Dental Service Questions
How often should I schedule a teeth cleaning at the dentist?
While the answer can vary based on how healthy your teeth are, most people should schedule a dental exam every six months.
Can invisible teeth aligners replace the need for braces?
In many cases, yes. It just depends on how much alignment the teeth need.
What’s the purpose of veneers?
A cosmetic dental service, veneers provide a picture-perfect smile by whitening teeth, filling in embarrassing gaps, and covering up chips or other flaws. View this brief video from the American Dental Association®to learn more.
Will a dental crown be noticeable?
No. We can use materials that perfectly match the color of the dental crown with the rest of the teeth.
I’m missing several teeth. Are dental implants an option, or is that procedure best for just one missing tooth?
We can implant multiple teeth, but it depends on each individual’s situation. Schedule an appointment with our dentist, and he can help find the best tooth replacement option.
What is the difference between a dental bridge and a dental implant?
An implanted tooth is surgically fused to the jaw bone. A dental bridge doesn’t require surgery. Instead, the “fake tooth” is anchored in place via two adjacent dental crowns.
Will I have to change my diet once I begin wearing dentures?
While some people may have to change the manner in which they eat certain foods, most don’t have to drastically change their diets. However, it is important to eat soft foods while adjusting to the dentures.
I think I might need a root canal. Will it hurt?
Most people compare the feeling of a root canal to the minor discomfort of getting a filling. Dentists apply anesthesia so patients normally don’t feel much at all.
